Healthy Fun Facts: Is Coffee Good or Bad for you?
Most of the people all over the world drink a lot of coffee everyday. And the daily average consumption per person per day is approximately about 200 mg. Heck if not, there won't be any Starbucks on every corner of the street.
And right now, you might be thinking, "wow, isn't that too much caffeine for one person to intake?" or maybe you're thinking, "that isn't healthy anymore, that's too much." or
maybe, "can this guy still sleep?"
The answer to your questions would be, no, not really and yes. Why? Simply because the long standing advice still applies of no more than 400mg of caffeine per day, the equivalent of about three 8 oz (237 ml) cups of brewed coffee.
But did you know that coffee is actually one of the healthiest drink on earth?
Because not only that it keeps you awake, or gives you energy but it also makes you smarter, because the caffeine's purpose in the brain is to blocks the inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain, so it improves not only your mood but your brain functions as well.
Coffee also contains nutrients, minerals and antioxidants. It contains vitamin B5, vitamin B2, B3 and B1. It also has a potassium and manganese.
Coffee is also the biggest source of antioxydants, outranking the fruits and the vegetables, even combined. Surprising facts, ins't it?
Coffe is also good for your liver. The liver is very vulnerable and there are multiple studies that suggest that coffee can lower the risk of cirrhosis and liver cancer.
It may also lower your risk of diabetes. Studies suggest that the more coffee people drink, the lower their risk.
And surprising as this may sound, but coffee can help burn fat and even improve your everyday physical performance. How? Because caffeine raises metabolism and increases the oxidation of fatty acids. Caffeine was also found to increase exercise performance.
But take note, drinking coffee is not always good, that is if you've taken so much in one day. But drinking coffee in moderate amount is good for you. And to make sure to preserve the health benefits, do not put any sugar or creamer.

Is it okay to drink coffee in the morning before doing the workout? As it increases the metabolism I think it should be beneficial if we drink coffee and go out for jogging instantly. Thank you for the article. I love to read about the studies on coffee.
